Scar is a new talent in the salon industry, having studied at the Douglas J. Institute of Cosmetology here in Ann Arbor. They have a passion for bringing unique hair concepts to life, whether that be a color transformation, haircuts that dare to break barriers and binaries or routine hair maintenance that leaves you feeling renewed. Wherever you may be in your personal journey of self-expression, Scar is fully committed to providing a safe space for you to be exactly who you’re meant to be - yourself!

Rachel is an Ann Arbor native with over 18 years of experience in the salon industry.

She is a DevaCurl Level Three Master Stylist, Ouidad Certified, and Rezo Certified. With a focus on curly hair, she understands first hand that embracing natural texture can be both a liberating and sometimes trying experience, she's here to help you on that journey.

Rachel began her training at the Douglas J. Aveda Institute of Ann Arbor in the spring of 2003 and has continued to build her skill set with advanced education receiving many speciality certificates while staying current with trends in the ever evolving world of hair.

She is proficient in men's styles and clipper cutting, color corrective services, fantasy color, balayage, keratin complex smoothing treatments, textured/curly hair, and special occasion and event styling.

Rachel is comfortable with all hair types and truly loves to help people look and feel their best. She is a firm believer in "look good, feel good." She proudly uses only Wella hair color.

Happy Pride!! For the month of June we are having a raffle and all proceeds will be donated to @ozone_house Did you know that up to 40% of youth who are homeless identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Questioning. These youth are at higher risk than their peers for bullying, violence, exploitation, and discrimination. Ozone House is a local nonprofit that offers housing and a wide range of support to compromised youth in our area. Tickets are $5 each and the grand prize is a $100 gift card to Sparrow Salon that can be redeemed for hair products or services. Gift it to someone special or gift it to yourself! The drawing will be Saturday June 29th at 4pm, as we are closed Sundays and Mondays.
